From Banff and Canmore, Kananaskis Village can be quickly reached by travelling east on Highway 1 then south on Highway 40. From Banff, the scenic 70-km (43 mi) drive takes approximately 45 minutes, and from Canmore, the 52 km (32 mi) can be travelled in about half an hour.
