This full day adventure includes a trail ride, barbeque lunch and white water rafting! Arrive at Boundary Ranch in mid-morning for a 2-hour guided trail ride on the scenic back-country trails. Enjoy a barbeque steak lunch with baked potatoes, homemade baked beans and Caesar salad, followed by homemade apple pie with ice cream. Then it’s off to the white water of the Kananaskis River for a 12 kilometre ride through Class I-III rapids. All necessary river equipment and safety gear is supplied.

Mount Engadine Lodge is very excited to announce our lineup for the 2009 Music in the Meadow series. Our 2008 shows were big hits and the glowing reviews of the guests made for a great season.

Inside Out Experience
Kananaskis River - Family & Group rafting at its best
An ideal choice for first time rafters, families and group outings. This is a fabulous introduction to Whitewater Rafting that will create a life long memory for you. You will spend approximately 2 hours surfing, swimming, paddling your way through the rapids and playing fun games with water canons. A swim is also available should you wish to participate. Enjoy going through infamous sections on this River such as Miami, Santa Claus and the Race Course while our professional and friendly guides teach you about the flora, fauna, the Bear, geography and history of the area. Class I – III rapids.
Kananaskis & Horseshoe Canyone full day rafting adventure
A must do, the thrillseekers choice! Enjoy the excitement of rafting on two separate rivers in one day. You will start your day a little more gently on the beautiful Kananaskis River where you may be surfing! Yes, surfing on a Raft as well as playing games, splashing and paddling through the rapids. A swim is offered on the Kananaskis River and Cliff Jumping is offered on Horseshoe Canyon. After your picnic lunch we shuttle you a short 10 minute distance over to Horseshoe Canyon where you will experience the magnificence of this spectacular 200 Canyon going over exciting and thrilling ledges and through rapids on this amazing River.
Ride & Raft Experience
What a way to spend a day! A half day will be spent descending great trails of the picturesque Elbow Valley near the town of Bragg Creek (45 min. south-west of Calgary) or Kananaskis Valley (1 hour west of Calgary towards Canmore & Banff) on a suspension mountain bike! The other half will be spent surfing, splashing and paddling through the rapids on a raft down the corresponding adjacent rivers with our Professional Guides who will teach you about the history, flora, fauna and geography on the Elbow or Kananaskis Rivers!
Call of the Wild Experience (Hike and Raft)
Follow the Call of the Wild - start the day off exploring the incredible beauty of Kananaskis Country located in the magnificent Canadian Rocky Mountains with your Professional Guide. Breath in the fresh mountain air as you partake in a 3 - 4 hour hike that can range from easy to energetic i.e. from exploring a mountain valley to hiking up a mountain ridge. Be engrossed by the stories of the history, geography, geology, flora and fauna of the area. Ravenous from your hike you will stop for a hearty picnic lunch by the Kananaskis River. After lunch you will be transported to the start of the Kananaskis River for your incredible white water rafting experience! Paddle, surf and play in the waves for 2 - 2.5 hours of fun! Finish off your incredible day with a complimentary refreshment and snack - celebrating your Call of the Wild!

Interpretive Hikes
Learn about the creation of the Canadian Rockies most eastern ranges and the history of the Kananaskis valley. You never know what we may find along the way. Will it be wildlife or their tracks? We’ll go on to discuss how different species co-exist in mountain ecosystems.

GPS Scavenger Hunts
GPS scavenger hunts combine the same components of a traditional scavenger hunt with the use of a hand held GPS unit. This activity will challenge your group at an intellectual and technical level. This team building activity will win the respect of your hard word to impress tech wizards. We offer a variety of course themes and lengths.

Canoeing
Enjoy a day of paddling on one of Kananaskis’ crystal blue lakes. Let the peaceful surroundings melt away any stresses you may have. We’ll start off with a simple paddling lesson close to shore then embark on our journey. We’ll go on to discuss the history of the area and our majestic lakes. Why not make it a full day even with a lake side lunch.
